Wow what an amazingly beautiful place The Grand Canyon is! B and I had such a wonderful day!
To expand a little from my last entry, I wanted to discuss the theory “what you focus on expands”, which is an awesome term Marshall Sylver uses in his life changing Turning Point seminar. Putting stuff on paper is super important because it will help you focus on what you want. From there you can work from your end result to how to get it!
With that in mind, I’d love for you to do a little activity to help you start focusing on what you want in life. Take out a piece of paper and write down once place you want to visit next year. You can write down more should you choose too…just make sure to put down one place that you want to visit really badly. Okay, did you write it down? If not, do it now before reading on…
Now that you have this place written down, let’s figure out how YOU will be there next year! Here’s an example of what B and I did…and the results are incredible because we focused on what we wanted and got it!
- We decided we would go on a cruise in 2008 to somewhere in the Caribbean.
- Wrote it down on our list of things to do in 2008.
- Then we expanded and wrote down where in the Caribbean we would want to cruise to. (We chose The Bahamas, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, or Aruba.)
- Then we decided when – we chose fall 2008 to give us some time to work on our internet marketing and web development company so that it would function and grow without us around.
- A few months into the year, I picked possible cruises I’d want to go on, and put some pictures of beaches, boats, hammocks, and sunsets on my dream board.
- Then we heard our friends were going on a cruise a few months later. What a coincidence! We looked into it and the cruise was full.
- I did see that a few weeks later the cruise was ¼ of the price though…so I said “Let’s go!” Destination…wouldn’t you know it…The Bahamas!!!
- Got our passports two weeks later…cruised a week after that.
- Relaxed in paradise…hammocks, beaches, beautiful sunsets, and of course…one big boat.
So you can now do it too! In fact, let us know when and where you want to go so we can go with you! We love traveling and seeing new places, and perhaps your place to visit in 2009 is on our list too…
